If you're talking about Siachen,Nothing can.Probably these helos will carry the parts of the howitzer to the forward areas,from where it'll be transported by another helos and then it'll be joined.just like old times.

But if you're talking about other areas,well,we're buying Chinook.It can carry these,as Chinook has service ceiling of 20000 ft.

Nope,Nothing can carry it directly to Kargil,Only by parts maybe.Cause M777 weighs some 4200 kg.Though Mi-17 can carry upto 5000 kg,I doubt it can carry that much in heights like Kargil.

so as per earlier order india was to order 145 M777 dont know how many in the current one so would just 20 odd chinooks can do the job in times of war ?
