1965 war hero MM Alam passes away

KARACHI: 1965 war hero Muhammad Mahmood Alam popularly known as MM Alam passed away in Karachi.
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) spokesman said that Air commodore (retd) Muhammad Mahmud Alam passed away in Karachi on Monday morning after a long illness. He was 78.

MM Alam emerged as a hero in 1965 Pak-India war when as a fighter pilot he downed five Indian aircraft in less than a minute — the first four within 30 seconds.

National day of mourning should be announced

Legends never die nor they fade away in history books they live forever. As long as there is Pakistan on the map of earth his name will be there. The man is not with us any more but his name and legend will live on forever.
