Bukhari apprised the court that his client earned an amount of GBP 690,000 saying Jemima lent Rs 40 million to his client to purchase the Banigala land to which a member of the bench asked why Jemima lent an amount to Khan which was greater than the cost of Banigala land.

Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar observed that Imran Khan would have to provide evidence that Jemima lent him money saying if there is no justification of the loan from her to purchase Banigala land then there would be legal consequences in the matter in hand.
