In the professional militaries, those officers with the most senior rank and experience get promoted to the next level. As much as I loved Musharraf, wasn’t he promoted over more senior officers? How is this even possible?

There is no need to do that here. The retired General is still subject to the relevant Uniform Code of Military Justice and cannot violate any of its provisions. That is not optional. At all. Ever.

PTI's soft revolution isn't going to force rabid dogs to follow law and constitution. Nothing going to change until people take matters in own hands and do cleansing of system with acid. We need to add article in constitution (which can't be removed / suspended under any circumstances) that if responsible institutions fails to uphold constitution and law then public will have right to shoot/behead/hang people involved in subversion of constitution to ensure that state adhere to it's contract (aka Constitution) with citizen.
