Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar appointed as DG ISI

As per some members on this thread only Raheel Sharif and his appointed guys are patriots while other generals appointed by Qamar Bajwa are doubtful and are somehow closer to Nawaz Sharif.

I doubt its wise to change DG ISI before tenure as he has done remarkable job while keeping themselves away from power while forcing gov to move against corruption ....

First off, samdhi is not a family man genetically, it's a relation based on marriage. Secondly, doesn't this mean that the Army will assert heavy controls on mns now that his relatives (albeit distant ones) are on higher positions?

Well it is really disappointing & heart breaking to see a very active Gen. Rizwan removed from the post of DG ISI. All these major changes are really disturbing. It would had been better if all were allowed to work till the time of their retirement, as all of them were performing so well.

The picture is getting clear that Gen. Bajwa will work as per the wishes of ganja league. The movement in corrupt & treacherous politicians is a proof of how much comfortable these bastards are really are.

Before coming to conclusions dont forget that every Lt Gen gets 1 staff appointment and 1 command post during their 3.5 year tenure. hence every single posting made is perfectly okay. just because you have not heard about other generals does not mean that they are incapable of doing good. And secondly Naveed Mukhtar might prove to be the most hardcore DG ISI after a long time since he has been their before and has commanded V Corps which by no means is a simple task.

Not sure he is Samdhi of Samdhi and being Samdhi of Samdhi can't qualify our argument that he is more loyal with Samdhi of Samdhi instead of wardi he is wearing since 30 years

Yes all the LTG's from RS era will retire in 2019, before bajwa, so the next COAS will be from current 7 LTG's that got promoted this week.

DG ISI had to go and sidelined. It was decided before RS's retirement. As per word, he was the one who was behind campaign of RS's 1 year extension and was aspiring to be CJSC or COAS at end of 2017 if RS took extension.
