Guys, does Pakistan have an official cyber warfare division? I can't seem to find much info on Google other than some news where India accuses Pakistan of deploying bots for propaganda purposes, etc.

Pakistan has a military media wing called ISPR which is dedicated to providing, and assessing, information and has a large following.

They usually focus on bringing out the reality by taking making the first report, taking journalists and other sources. As for bots, like I highly doubt it because ISPR doesn't depend on bots to propagate information, it only uses twitter and media conferences.

Unlike India, we don't have big *** Whatsapp groups setup by government cyber wings to spread disinformation and unusually crazy lies.

This report carries an unnamed Indian newspaper reports without sources quoting unnamed sources and Pakistanis are in for a squim. Quite funny. I never even know who is this guy. And armed forces getting their way even after retirement is not something new in Pakistan. This report is used as a "propaganda" to justify appointment. World is immune to propaganda now in this day and age. Propaganda only works for domestic viewers who have a pre determined nationalism-bound bias.

What we need to change perception is making use of soft power that actually works. Like Tourism, Entertainment Industry and Science. Those things produce a favorable globally. Not obvious bots telling obvious lies.

Might I ask.. How did you come to this conclusion?
Please provide some facts in comparison to the last two civilian governments. And what will really help is that someone actually provide solutions or alternatives to the decisions made given the prevailing circumstances.

It isn't received well in India because it's good for Pakistan. That is obvious and I expected this reaction from India.
But what I find absolutely baffling, is when Pakistani citizens are against such a move. Such people are deft dumb and blind and fail to see that this appointment has truly turned the tables on the bandits within. And it's these bandits that are the biggest threat to the security and stability of the nation. General Sab is going to do a great job whether you like it or not Inshallah!
