There is a law in Physics that say that bodies tend to gravitate towards their lowest energy states. No peace and no war state is a high energy state and hard to sustain. When both countries see common interests that exceed the cost of enmity, then I guess things will improve.

Most Pakistanis especially the newer generation living somewhere like london find it hard to relate to an indian just as we would to a white or black person. They find it easier to relate to another Muslim.

Yes...I am generalizing...that is what my experience when Indians and Pakistanis meet in London or NY. Yes, there are many cases where the better of nationalism has got the worst of Indians and Pakistanis and they start fighting.
