So its a mixed bag.

The reason is totally opposite to what insecure hindus are propagating.
Hindu women are fed up of how they are being treated in their own culture etc. so they are always running after Muslim men and other non hindu men and families.....

1. Acceptance to what? a Country which is full of hate for Muslims, especially getting killed for marrying hindu woman and eating beef.

Desi can only marry firangis if firangi woman initiates or makes advances to marry a Desi. otherwise desi will be too scared of legal issues etc...

Firangi woman marry desis to come out of their own system, they see something different which the want and which these women do not have within their own system.

Apparently Hindu girls won't chase Muslim boys if Muslim girls are let off the leash. I can tell you in UK, the availability or unavailability of muslim girls has zero impact on hindu girls' attraction to Muslim boys. Overall, Hindus are not just the majority, but much much more liberal and accepting of stuff like marrying a muslim, spl when it comes to marrying their women off to a Muslim. Given, it is rare and not always the case but it still holds true. There's a whole lot of other factors to factor? in too.. poor rural families from the heartland in UP/Bihar/MP are much less likely to see an inter religion union than rich urban folk in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad for example..

The Muslims here, nevermind their status or that they are the minority, are just way more closed off as a community overall. A far greater % of Hindus will be OK with marrying into a Muslim family/culture than the other way around.

You can call it a quirk or a crack or anything else you wish, but that is just how Indian society is.

I wasn't personally offended by that ad but I kinda get the outrage. It was precisely because of what I just said in my previous post. That this kind of union, while rare, happens overwhelmingly in favour of Muslim men and Hindu women.. and not entirely because there's so many more Hindu women compared to Muslim women.

Muslim women are basically 100% off limits, they're a very closed off community when it comes to this. As are the Hindus in a lot of cases, but I'd be willing to bet anything, that if you go by ratio or percentage.. you'd find the Hindus score way higher in openness when it comes to this particular peculiar behavioral aspect of their societies here in India.

India is also very difficult to quantify or put in absolute terms, 1.5 billion odd? + too much diversity, it's a mass mess. Got friendly with a Manipuri family through someone recently (north east christian folk) and it's a whole different universe than my folks in UP or friends in Bengal.. different language, food, culture, religion, ethnicity... even I can not claim to know this country fully..
