What's new

Lost for words on Indian Media...Just BS !!!

I dont know why pakistani friends getting so unsettled about this particular clip.I mean the whole episode rightly criticizes indian team indirectly for depending on a now unmaterialized pakistani victory over Australia to secure it position in the semi finals.Obviously indian people arent happy with their team for loosing its matches and its media is just reflecting that fact.

Let's understand the context on which the above clip is based on...its apparantly based on jovial comments made by indian skipper, how only a pakistan win can help and how disinterested indian fans need to cheer for pakstan and aslo talks about a comment by Afridi that they wouldnt disappoint their indian fans, made in a similar vain.

So its very important to understand the context behind,to prevent misunderstanding clearly shown in blogs right here.

Now coming to the complain that indian media is hostile and amateurish in its reports dealing with pakistan...then let me say,it goes with the current flavour of the day. There are atleast five threads created to celebrate on indian loss in champian trophy on this forum .

Besde that, what indian tv media shows in its exclusve reports are never too far from the truth. They only add "computer graphic " to serious analysis that appear in the print media causing cringe among some non commital viewers across the border.Ofcourse they lace it with unnecessary mirch masala to draw attetion and try hard to appeal to the lowest common denominator. But its a malaise...more a cumpulsion of private news media worldwide try to garner as much eyeballs as possile to survive as commercial ventures at the end of the day.

To get a better a picture, take for example the worst sensional eposidode so aptly name "dus kadam aur pakistan khatam " broadcasted on India Tv during those very tense day after 26/11 when a war clouds were looming large over the horizon and nevertheless made so many pakistna viewer cringe in disbelief.

Its was about dus kadam/Ten steps that indian military would take to capitulate pakistan. Now those were based none other than the highly valued indian strategic "COLD START" policy. Its so serious stuff, they even do study on this "COLD START" policy at pakistan's defence university. But when the same thing was shown with compuer graphics laced in rhetorical verbatim by India Tv,pakistani friend start accusing indian media for its amateurish style. I think both its naive and ironical at the same time.

Do you expect us not to create 5 threads on Indian defeat after your media’s ‘Bakwaas’ of 10 qadam Pakistan khatam?

How do you feel if someone says ’10 qadam(wickets) aur Indian team khatam’?

Before pointing out fingers, please see that it is your media which is creating more and more enemies of India in the world.

And I hope you have listened ‘waqt pe kisi ko bhi………………’

You should not expect flowers when you throw stones.

My God, Indians Media is going to skin their team

Star News in owned by Rupert's Murdoch's News Corporation - the very same that owns Fox News. There was a time when Star News was considered professional - when it was run by Pranoy Roy. Now all Indians consider it a joke. In fact, the label of jokers can be applied to India TV, Zee News and Aaj Tak as well (Curiously all Hindi Language channels).

The Indian media is large - far larger than the media of any other nation. To label all Indian media outlets as a joke or the "worst in the world" based on the actions of a few is as absurd as the reporting of Star News.

i know my posts won't be rated high among the Peace seeking Pigeons so apologies to them in advance before further elaborating my point, but this not my fault that few peoples are mixing sports with politics and global warming.

Every buddy has to remember that it is just a GAME at the end of the day, a game that generates lot of money and pride to the players, but it is extreme nature rivalry emotion which takes every thing between india and Pakistan to a new hype, professionally their is nothing wrong in loosing intentionally to a propose, even though it didn't happen.

cricket has become more psychic and game of nervous then ever, players are getting heavily paid to win the main titles, so their is more of tendency of PLANNING the way forward then ever, i don't understand what is wrong in applying "deliberately falling back" analogy to pick the lesser opponent or going into more suitable condition.

If Pakistan would've even lost intentionally (which wasn't the case this time) to avoid another possible extreme pressure game against India in the final tactically it could be a good move to me, professional teams do that, remember Asia cup 2008 India vs Srilanka game where both sides decided to "tacitly" kept out Pakistan from the final or 2002 VB series game between South Africa and New Zealand, in which SA "tacitly" 1st captured the bonus point and the "tacitly" loss game to new Zealand to make sure they face new Zealand in the final of the competition, which was surpassingly easier opponent to beat, and they actually did beat them in final to lift VB cup 2002.

so whats wrong following this approach, they got what they came for.

I broke my post in two parts, now come to the role indian media played and the real factors of Indian earlier departure from the event, regarding media, its their common trait that to sell their ideas and promote the doubts in the minds of the common indian about Pakistan, and they are just capitalizing on this point to get HIGH ratings on PRIME TIME list of channels, wada what wada my foot.

they should be focusing on the real factors behind Indian loss like increasing element of commercialism in Indian cricket in which a player get heavily paid for playing in a tough schedule of funny (yuvi getting hatrick is really funny) competitions of IPL and then get unfit for the more serious ICC events, and fact that Indian team didn’t had the better combination for south African conditions, a serious set back was the absence of a genuine all rounder with few other selection issues.

the most important fact which breaks the hearts of common Indian more then any other thing is the stupidly optimistic media campaign before each main event in which same rubbish media mockers declare Indian team champion before even competing on the ground, they should think about these elements before pointing fingures at others but hey hang on here comes Champions league, now same guys will beat lowly rated 2nd class sides and feel proud before getting packed up for next journey, enjoy.

CENTURION – Within minutes of Pakistan’s last ball defeat at the hands of Australia at the Centurion ground in South Africa, Indian Minister for Extrenal Affairs S M Krishna has sensationally pointed the finger at Kashmir-based militant group ‘Lashkar-e-Tayba’ which it alleges is supported by Pakistan’s InterServices Intelligence Agency (ISI).

‘We know there is no way Pakistan would have lost to Australia after being in a winning position towards the end. We have intercepted calls from Lashkar-e-Tayba masterminds made to the Pakistan dressing room in those last few minutes of the game. You can see why Misbah-ul-Haq went down and asked the physio came out with the message that they have to lose the game.’ He remarked.

Earlier, Home Affairs minister P Chidambaram had talked of Lashkar-e-Tayba using earnings from betting on allegedly fixed matches to fund what he called ‘Terror attacks’ on Indian soil.

“Its the oldest and quickest way to make money to be used for Terror attacks against India”, he said. “Daud Ibrahim has done it in the past and now Lashkar-e-Tayba has bought the Pakistan team and I suspect even the Australian team. The international community must take notice of this injustice on India and punish Pakistan severely. We will take this to the United Nations Security Council and get both teams banned”

“Team India is the best team in the world at the moment and despite not winning any games in the ICC T20 and going out in this tournament, they will still be the number one team in the world. Infact we have arrested today a Pakistani ISI agent who masterminded the fixing of the matches in T20 World Cup in June this year”, added Chidambaram.

Reaction on the streets to India going out of the ICC Champions Trophy has been surprisingly muted. Fans interviewed minutes after Australia’s victory at Centurion declared they never expected India to fare well in this tournament.

“Everytime Pakistan plays we know the games are fixed by the ISI, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Daud Ibrahim and Al Qaeda. They know they cannot beat us fair and square so they have resorted to paying the officials and umpires to make it difficult for India to win. There’s no point watching cricket anymore whenever Pakistan is involved. I just want to kill myself”, said a teary-eyed 24 year old cricket fan in Delhi before jumping off the 7 ft high boundary wall around his slum and breaking his arm in the process.

India is also said to be launching a probe into the rain that washed out their game against Australia on the 28th, giving a point each to both teams which led to India having to rely on Pakistan’s result against Australia today. Alleging the involvement of Chinese weather satellites, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has promised to investigate claims from his cabinet that Beijing had assisted Pakistan’s ISI in changing the weather conditions at Centurion, causing a massive downpour that swept away India’s hopes and rested them firmly on Pakistan’s shoulders.

Meanwhile in another development, a few members of the Pakistan cricket team had to be taken to hospital after being out of breath due to laughing uncontrollably at an Indian TV Programme.

‘The boys are fine, we just happened to tune into this programme, I think it was a comedy show, on Zee News in the dressing room and man those guys are hilarious, we just couldn’t stop laughing’, said star batsman Shahid Afridi before bursting into another fit of laughter and being stretchered off to the emergency ward himself.
