Secularism was a word I served into Indian constitution in seventies. India had never been a secular country but much beyond secularism. Secularism is related to faith. In india, seeking was way above belief. We are not secular nor new India is not in competition of being g secular.

That's part of a larger point but before BJP came in the judiciary was still somewhat independent and secular, now that is gone.


And like I've said before, to be secular, you need to have a population that aren't hardline followers, when BJP got elected not once but twice, it became clear what the majority of Indians think.



Bengalis are the only people you'll find in the region, who are mostly only religious in name, most of my country pray only on Fridays and that about it, the extent of their 'muslimness' and that's how we can maintain a secular state due to a irreligious population.


Now, you tell me if the majority of Indians are as irreligious as Bengalis, if they were irreligious they wouldn't show Mandirs every 15 minutes on TV shows.
