Modi tweeted by stating ,"On Buddha Purnima, we bow to the venerable Lord Buddha, whose teachings have guided the entire humanity for centuries. We pledge our commitment to world peace, non-violence and service to humankind, ideals that were very close to Lord Buddha."

Budha teaching are indeed lets see he can act accordingly or not...

Yes, you can say that. There is nothing in Buddhism that contradicts Science and Technology.

Islam is meant for improvement of oneself jut like Buddhism. The purpose of Islam is to develop a relationship with the Almighty and to improve oneself.

But some retards think, Islam was sent for them to reform everybody else except themselves, so they keep trying to reform others than themselves.

Buddhism does not intend to preach how to improve oneself. It preaches how to end the cycle of birth.

That's from Sri Lankan perspective but based on his perspective, he's also correct.

Buddhism teaches detatchment in action, which is control over emotions/nerves when u do anything.

It gives control n strength to the mind.

In both Hinduism and Buddhism the goal is to attain liberation (Nirvana in Buddhism and Moksha in Hinduism) from the cycle of birth and rebirth.

There's no such thing as Lord Buddha, ignorant peasant!

Buddha is Buddha. PERIOD.

So how are you sure that this is the only truth? Truth is also based on perspective up to some extent.

Yeah you are right.

I believe that the "Moksha" in Hinduism is different to the "Nirvana" in Buddhism. In Buddhism "Nirvana" means the total destruction of one self i.e. the nothingness. It is not a material possession.

Please elaborate if I'm wrong.

I'm a practitioner of Advaita Vedanta. For Buddhism I'm sure @Pakistanisage will be in a position to enlighten us. :D

Until then read this Enlightenment in Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta
