Why on Earth anyone in Bar-e-Saghir would be jealous of India accumulating nearly a billion dollar in external debt a week?

define rich? is it trickling down to the poorest group??
Money always flows from top to bottom. Only a rich person can establishes factories/ businesses to provide employment to others. I am more interested in understanding how Modi can induce technology in agriculture to make impact on farmers

India has been growing since 1992. Why has it taken them more than 20 years just to start building toilets? I am mentioning this because this is basic sanitation, a basic standard of living. My Indian friends have visited villages recently and they have told some parts don't even have roads, no street lighting. Electricity will cut off 6 hours at a time.

Here in England the poorest man has a 42 inch tv and enough money for a satellite subscription. That is money trickling down.

Its not about a hand out, its about providing basics. If India has funds to go to space then they have enough to do these things.
While you have valid point, it is more related to priorities of government. Earlier governments didn't focused on hygiene and infrastructure for society. Modi government is showing intent along with execution, hope we have better scenario by 2019.

There is a thread named "Whatever" in Members section. Anyway, I was just asking what would be the cost of a Singapore lunch (vegetarian) as I told you earlier that I am going in June with family. I am planning, so...can you please tell me? Lunch is not included in my itenary.

If you stay in Little India recommend Classique Hotel for acco. Good location, reasonable price. Good maintenance with continental breakfast. Earlier I used to stay in Park Royal which cost more than double of Classique but almost similar except the brand name.

In Indian restaurants in L'le India Veg thaili starts from 10-12 SGD a-la-carte around 18 SGD.

For Non veg 18-30 SGD a-la carte based on your order. Charcoal Grill was my favorite, although there are many other good restaurants in that area

In developed countries, a homeless person can't survive with 100$ for a month but in India, its more than enough.
