it’s not haram to be gay. I have a cousin that is gay(attracted to men), but he started praying 5 times and became super religious. Then he married a woman and now had two kids. He says that his attraction to men has faded and although he is not attracted to women in general, he is attracted to his wife.

If your cousin regrets his past and commits tawbah then he is forgiven. Dont never ever try to remind him of his past.

Put religion aside, being a gay is worse than any kind of sins. A man that fails to Protect his own back can not Protect his wife and children. Even from non religious point of view, there is nothing worse than being a gay. Men are men for gods sake.

To my knowledge he has never done anything sexual with a man or boy. He is by a heart a very sincere and good person so he was frustrated by being attracted to men. May Allah swt keep him on the straight path. Pun intended.
