It should have existed in lexicon, but it's rarely used. I have never heard someone say "bir şeyi inşaa etmək", rather "bir şeyi tikmək". But it's occasionally used in written language.

We use bina and tikinti (from "tikmek" verb). Dam means "roof" as Targon said.

wow i really surprised damn we are too close to each other do u think if u meet we could talk with out problem ? i heard from a turkmen guy who travelled to china among uygur and he told me uygur talks turkmen with little differences i also hear tatars in russia speak turkmen but their accent is stronger than us now u are talking just exactly (except barrel lol ) in my language so can we say there is only one single turkic languge among us ?in kyrgyz

Btw dam in Azeri and Turkish just had a slight meaning shift, otherwise in sentence usage it can still give a meaning close to house.

salmak means to put, to place, to send. in "tam salmak" context it means "to place pieces to erect building"
