Even VCP knows that CPC is not its biggest threat, but the exiled ROV regime is.

At most, CPC does have some conflict with VCP over the SCS islands, but CPC has no desire to invade Vietnam (the border conflict on the land was already solved back in 1996), nor CPC wants to see VCP's downfall.

You know, I think this tension between the VCP and CPC will remain until at least the northern part of Vietnam becomes part of China. Decades have passed and tensions are still there as long as Northern Vietnam and China remain separated by national borders. How can this even be sustainable for many more decades when China rises and the TPP is going to be implemented in Vietnam? Seriously. This is kind of like the Warring States era for the 21st Century in Southeast Asia.

A $417 million Center Hai Phong city wanted to build at this time, do you think it is wastefulness and not feasable? Such leadership has no vision will not bring country to progress. How many years have the north rule the entire country? What did they bring to the southerner lives? A better lives ? i guess not. Or they have to learn from Southerners? If the northerners are not backwardness then what else can be said?

After Vietnam war 1975 up to now, there were Le Duan Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Phan Van Khai, Vo Chi Cong, Nguyen Minh Triet, Vo Van Kiet, Truong Tan Sang, Nguyn Tan Dzung, Nguyen Van Phuc, Nguen Thien Nhan etc. all of them are south Vietnamese.

I'm north Vietnamese, we don't care about such VCP and VRP leaders background, from North or south. I said that I can critize them better than you but not from their home town in the north or south. Information you have got is from media in Vietnam. People in Vietnam know this matter as well.

the exile Viets, I mean the southern vietnamese are a very influencial political and economic group in America. but I used to stay neutral, especialy in politics. you have people with good intentions, but some with bullshits in mind.

I found the exile Viet community to be anti-VCP to the extreme in the US, far more than the old KMT Chinese community. Couple years ago, some Viet shop owner hanged a picture of Ho ChiMinh in his shop, and the Viet community harassed, threatened, and even raise hell with the property owner to have him evicted just to force the shop owner to take down that picture.

Yes, still, there are a lot of ROC exiles and supporters in the US, but you won't get this kind of heat if you were to hang a portrait of Mao in your shop.

Corruption do exist every where in the world. But the real problem is the intensity of corruption and is it being look after? Like in the US and Canada, corruption is a criminal charge. So there's little corruption occurring. We dont call it corruption here, we call it scandals. But it means the same thing.

VCP has to go for a better Vietnam. Vietnam needs lots of FDI.

The problem is Chinese influence the north. It's Chinese's mentality. We don't want our kids to be insecure and powerless in themselves. We want our kids to be able to lead themselves for the better, brighter future. To do that, we need to get rid of VCP and adapt a new system that would eliminate freedom of speech, copyright protection, protect businesses and investors. The VCP has no money with the investors that's a fact we cannot argue about.
