Kalabagh Dam would have solved half of our water, flood & electricity problems long ago, but ‘NO’, we will eat grass but not let Punjab have most of the benefit. Rekodic project was supposed to gives us huge amount if wealth has been abandoned. Only Allah knows when the Baluchistan and Pakistan can benefit from this wealth, may be after all of us are long dead.
My countrymen are extremely jealous people. They believe that if “we can’t make money out of it, no one else should be allowed to do so either. If country goes to dogs and people suffer 18 hours a day load shedding as a result, so be it.”
We must understand that entrepreneurs are here to make money. Whosoever puts up the money wants profit and lots of it. Even if GOP puts up the funds, bureaucrats will become multi-millionaires.
Pakistan needs LNG now. Each day causes crores of rupees loss to the economy because of due
to the lack of gas, industry is unable to run at full capacity.
For heaven’s sake, let the project go thru. At least it will aid in resolving Pak Energy crisis.
