Sometime the wisdom lies in not following the law too strictly. A case in point: Even if Malik Riaz had made a shady deal to acquire the (barren/mostly empty) land for Baharia Town Karachi, the court acted wisely, making Malik Riaz pay hundreds of billions of Rupees and still the end result is that the land is becoming a major focus for economic activities in southern Pakistan.

While I agree with your logic; the example you provided is flawed, most likely because are not informed that the land which Malik Riaz grabbed/encroached (with connivance of PPP ofcourse) wasn't all barren but most of it was cultivatable, agricultural land and occupation and conversion of that land, IMO, into residential land is treason and the gravest enmity with Pakistan's future generations.

real estate agents and builders have ruined the life of middle class people who cannot even dream to make their own home because prices of property is out of reach and hats off to the govt who knowingly given them packages to get the loans from banks and use that money to fetch more money out of the pockets of ordinary public, almost every second housing society in lahroe did frauds no matters its Pak Arab Housing , Eden garden etc etc name any of them ... now ordinary public is in litigations with these groups who already have expensive lawyers and as usual they will escape while people in Govt are supporting them from day one and they will continue just like a giant mafia ............... the only effected party is ordinary public... they were suffering and under current system they will keep suffer .. so i have no sympathy with builders or agents and i dont care about their drama

The thing is properties under controversies represent a small portion of their overall business
