actually thats because asia is emerging and all the products are manufactured here but the manufacturing companie belongs to US or europe...and they used to be no.1 many years back...you know rise and fall of every civilisation...india used to be in top spot 1000s of years back but now nobody gives a $hit and wont be knowing india's golden history as colonial rulers looted everything from india.....but equal kudos to europe...

They are regional distribution hubs, like Singapore. It's a matter of logistics. They are mostly transshipment points.

The same method is used in the airline hub-and-spoke system. Singapore, Dubai, and the Netherlands are all regional hubs.
