Just out of curiosity, Can you tell how many Govt. Holidays or off days in your country? Trying to compare it as I think we have too many off days here. I mean including Sundays and compulsory list of off days etc. In India we have also Saturdays off for central Govt. employee and only 2nd Saturday of for state Govt. employees.

@Alpha1 and @Armstrong (for Pakistan) @BDforever @wanglaokan @SOHEIL @haman10 @Viet @gambit @kbd-raaf (for Australia) @levina (for UAE) @vostok and other countries members are also welcome to share.

In mainland China, there are holidays for

- Chinese New Year
- Qingming Festival
- Dragon Boat Festival
- National Day
- Mid Autumn Festival

These are usually 1 day each, except for Chinese New Year which is 3 days for example.

In my city Hong Kong, we celebrate all of the above, plus quite a LOT more. :D

The most memorable would be the Chung Yeung Festival (a Traditional Chinese holiday), where we are supposed to climb a mountain, drink chrysanthemum wine, and pay respects to our ancestors. These traditions date back to thousands of years ago.

Australia Day is day after tomorrow it is the day that the first immigrants arrived in Australia.

It falls on the same day as the Indian Republic Day.

We also have ANZAC day, the Queen's birthday, Boxing Day, Christmas, Easter, etc.
