What is "true" Islam?
I mean technically the people who were on "true" Islam were the Prophet and his companions. From there on in as Islam spread, so did its flavours and the interpretation of it.

You asked when in the time of Prophet did the women wear burqa ? The actual word used in Quran is Jilbab.
when the ayah (that i quoted to you about women covering themselves) was revealed.. the women of Madina were seen covered in black like crows. There are various other ahadith from which it can be deduced. For example the description of women going for Eid prayer. You have not studied properly my friend.
And when you talk about Arabs and other countries where veil was destroyed by the Muslims themselves...The Prophet (P.B.U.H) has already told us about a time when deen will become unknown to people, He told us about the time of religious ignorance. To understand Holy Quran, and sayings of the Prophet (P.B.U.H), one has to have the knowledge of Arabic. Particularly the knowledge of 7th century Arabic. There is a whole cosmological field in it.

when people think that seeking knowledge of Quran and Sunnah, the knowledge of Fiqah, the ilm of akhira (eschatology) is just for a certain group of people and not the entire Ummah then we are told to seek advise from people of knowledge in such matters because we are ignorant or confused. Otherwise there is no reason of giving a high status to muslims for being inheritor (Ummati) of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Excellence is promoted in Islam. For the Ummah, seeking knowledge is fardh upon every Muslim, but we know that only few people excel at different aspects of ilm and especially the ilm of deen, they are the scholars.
A person might have a lot of Knowledge about religion but that doesn't make him a scholar, you need rigorous training in logic and philosophy to raise such questions and being able to understand the answers.
We have burqa because, our Muslim ladies, have a sense of belonging to our men. The roots of fitna that destroy the social structure has been eradicated through every bit in Iman.
