Me off covid duty. Damn it was hard. The heat, the humidity, the patients, the attendents, the deaths, the khit khit, the everchanging protocols.
Started hating hospital.
But now off for couple of weeks.

Good to see you safe bro. People around me are dropping like flies (Poona and Bombay). Our infection rate is over 9x higher. Not surprising. I'm just mentally drained man, day after day since March without respite. We just finish a 2.0 10 day lockdown today. And I'm shuddering. Take care and stay safe.

I went to the mountains for three or four days, people (specially the elderly ones didn't hesitate hugging and close contacts) ...... I did feel like being normal again. Still situation in Pakistan is stable, there may have been lot of infections but recovery seems to be quite remarkable ..... so what is different?

Constant sustained exposure. Fatigue. Shit happens. Healthcare professionals are humans. They make mistakes. They get tired. They slip.

In case of Pakistan, the only logical explanation could be the 'Simpson's paradox' which is a result of incorrectly pooling data and arriving at a false conclusion. Its either that or a Hand of God that our cases and death rate are going downhill. Our people are trying their best to raise the 'strike rate' again but so far results have been 'discouraging' if you catch my drift.
