Lies of IAF in 1965 Indo-Pak War

okay so if India occupied more Pakistani territory then why would it run to Tashkent for a treaty and poison its own leader?
That was due to internal problems. USSR wanted Indira Gandhi as PM and they hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Shastri. It does not mean India was losing.

.
I always said Mirages and Su30s bugging out was a brilliant decision as they were outnumbered 6:1 temporarily.

Also the Barrackpore and baghdogra attacks took place in 10th & 11th sept and Not the first two days

Also no Canberras were there in Baghdogra and Barrackpore.

Seriously? you are claiming that IAF can not scramble enough jets to achieve parity during war scenario? This is admitting defeat before the war started.

.
Wrong.
There were only 19 losses in the first two days.
Barrackpore and Baghdora losses were among the 16 losses in the remaining 15 days which include (3 Halwara, 3 Pathankot, 1 Jammu, 2 Adampur, 2 Baghdogra, 2 Barrackpore, 3 Jamnagar)

abhinondone shot down the f-16, didn’t he?

the childish ways these Indians clutch to fake stories is comedic

lol.....

6:1

so AbeeeLUNDon had the balls to "shoot" down a F16 but the other flying top line Su & Mirages bugged out....chicken ?...lol

given the poor situational awareness of IAF how did the IAF pilots figure out they were out numbered?... as the F-16s just pop out for a few seconds from the cover of mountains to engage a long distance BVR shot..... and pop right back in...

So basically you are saying India occupied Pakistani territory and later helped pakistan by signing Tashkent treaty to give captured territory back?
Also Lahore is only 15 KM away from Indian border, and their plans of reaching lahore was thwarted by repulsing their attacks back to Indian border.
And btw Ayub served over a decade in office... 4 years past 65..

There was no repulsing back. Pakistan occupied Indian territory and India occupied Pak territory. The US imposed an arms embargo on both countries which affected Pak more since Pak had American weaponry while India had predominantly older British machinery. India was happy with the status quo restored since it was Pak which launched Gibraltar and Grand Slam. It seems after India's defeat against China, Pak thought it was a golden opportunity to wrest Kashmir. India not only had lost badly to China but also had a new leader in low key Shastri who did not enjoy the rapport with world leaders that Nehru did. Pak just did not expect India to open a new front along the IB. Which is not different from Pak underestimating India's response during Kargil. Did India strike a massive blow to Pak in 65? No, it did not. Did India have the upper hand? It certainly seems so from neutral accounts and from various sane Pak commentators too. Of course there are tales of bravery from both sides - this doesn't take away from the basic point that Pak failed in its objective to wrest Kashmir and India succeeded in its objective to restore the status quo.

This is all nonsense parroted by BJP fan boys. Shastri died a natural death. Indira Gandhi was not even a sureshot to follow Shastri as PM. She was much below the pecking order. She was installed as a "Gungi Gudiya" by the Kamaraj faction of the Congress.

lies or not with rafaele nearly rolled out JFT BII still has SOME ground to catch!

I have a gut feeling that some of the Block-IIs are no longer Block-IIs anymore (perse). They maybe now be brandishing a 150+ km AESA tipped missile ... and themselves have become Block-II++ with a new nose job.

Just my humble opinion.
