Srinagar, December 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, has said that the people of Kashmir will continue their struggle till settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with their aspirations and the relevant UN resolutions.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a public gathering in Kakarnag area of Islamabad district said that Kashmir was an internationally-recognized dispute and lacs of Kashmiris had rendered their precious lives for its resolution. He said that the Hurriyat leadership believed in resolving disputes through meaningful dialogue but India’s stubbornness was a main impediment in the way of settling the Kashmir dispute.
He also condemned the continued illegal detention and house detention of Hurriyat leaders and raids on the houses of Hurriyat leaders and harassment of their families.
The leaders of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Qureshi, Mohammad Rafique Awaisi, Muhammad Yusuf Makroo, Merajuddin Rabbani and Hafiz Mudassir Nidvi addressing public gatherings in different areas said that human rights violations in the territory were on the rise and the puppet authorities were leaving no stone unturned to harass the innocent Kashmiri people.
He said that the honour and property of the people in the occupied territory were not safe. They urged the people to fully boycott the upcoming sham polls. He said that the Indian rulers and their stooges in Kashmir had been using these farcical elections to harm the interests of the Kashmiri people and their struggle for right to self-determination.
