LeT’s Divisional Commander Abu Quasha killed in gunfight in Kashmir

New Delhi :Self styled Divisional Commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) Abu Quasha outfit got killed at Handwara Kupwara district.

A senior defence official said on specific information about the presence of some militants at village Sudal area of Magam in Handwara.

Army’s 47 RR, 21 RR, 6 RR along with Special Operations Group (SOG) swung into action and soon cordoned-off the area. The joint team of forces intensified the searches, the militants hiding in the area opened fire on them.

The fire was retaliated ensuring an enraging gunfight between forces and hiding militants. “During the gunfight, the divisional commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba Abu Quasha got killed”, a senior defence official said, adding that the operation is still going on in the area.
