Let the Taliban rule Karachi

Thank God for no USSR... We paid u back for 71 assistance to the indians.. given the chance we will do it again..

Were finally on the same page, getting rid of Russia which was constant pain in the butt was a good thing, if it meant the complete destruction of the soviet empire and soviet spheres of influence and the Liberation of Eastern Europe for the war on terror and getting rid of MAD then yes 100 % no regrets.

Pakistanis don't care whether Taliban rule Afghanistan or not. If the Afghans want the Taliban to rule Afghanistan, Pakistanis don't care about that. Just as long as Afghans don't cross the border & cause terrorism inside Pakistan.

I wish your country leadership and ISI too thought on those lines instead of wanting to use Afg as "strategic depth" and all !

Doesn't really matter our goals in Afghanistan was to remove the Taliban and get OBL we have accomplished that building an strong military and security force is in the process, when we leave in 2014 Afghanistan will be a Battle ground for Pakistan, China, India and Central Asia for Influence may the best country win.

My CountryMen if they had a choice trying to live with the fear of MAD or the current war on terror I think they would take the war on terror

Here is a little secret for. Mutually assured destruction is still very real. If anyone intentionally launches nuclear missiles at Russia or any other nuclear armed country for that matter they will retaliate.

Actually There were many things that resulted in the USSR's Collapse Afghan Adventure was another factor, your failing Economy, Not to mention Gorbachev glasnost and perestroika which released allot of nationalist tensions, corruption, haha Yeltsin, era of stagnation, Chernobyl

My family was never communist in fact we were anti communists as were many other Russians. Also the Russian economy was in a bad state during the 1990's and what is so funny about that? Many people were out of a job and hungry, I fail to see the humor in that. Than again you have low class posts so that is expected from you. What happened in the 1990's is now the past, the Russian economy has been growing at a fast rate, and although there is a ways to go life today is not what it was.

Oh and Moscow has the most billionaires of any city, Russia as a whole is producing millionaires and billionaires at a fast past. Moreover, the quality of life for ordinary citizens is improving in fact Russia has a low unemployment rate than the US, so laugh all you want.

Russia has been doing well but you guys need to do something about your shrinking population .

Yeah right.. russia didnt lose in afghanistan? lol

Do a little research. The Soviet Union had full control of all major cities in Afghanistan. The majority of Soviet losses was from ambush tactics in rural areas such tactics included using mines, IED's or ambushing fuel columns. Militarily the Soviets defeated all 'freedom fighters'. However, there was a never ending flood of new fighters willing to take the place of their dead terrorist brothers. The body count was ridiculously lopsided in favor of the Soviet Union and as I stated earlier the Afghan government did not fall until 1993. If It took the Taliban years of fighting to overthrow the Afghan government than you must be delusional in thinking that the Soviet Union lost. After 10 years of enduring ambush tactics it was decided to pull out, economically it was becoming a burden and no matter how many 'freedom fighters' the Soviets kills more would flood into the country.

^^ same thing is happening with Amrika now- and yeah it is considered as a defeat- what target you achieved there apart from killing people?-

you did it on our cost. I am glad that you and your allies(regional and non regional) are burning as well like us. You only wanted to make our country a battlefield to reach your goals without having morales to take our hand and help us get on our feet after that, you totally abondanded the devastated country until the snake came bit you too, look at what you and your others are now.

. . .
God Bless MQM until they are there these SOB's have little or zero chance , MQM will roast these f**ks in Karachi.

A Terrorist Group Fighting Another Terrorist group is a realization of the long sought dream of a civil war in Karachi by the MQM.

How ignorant !

Afghanistan was a progressive country before the Taliban. The countries infrastructure was growing rapidly, transportation, hospitals, schools, and jobs were all expanding, women received education and they had the choice of not wearing a Burka. Once the Taliban took over the country went into the dark ages virtually overnight.
That is utter BS - Afghanistan was in the throes of a civil war before the Taliban, with warlords and ethnic militias ravaging the country and fighting each other, prior to that we had the devastation of the Soviet invasion - so where and when did all this development and growth occur?

Please read the 'Strategic Depth' stick in the Strategic Affairs section before spouting off on issues you have no clue about.

That is the point of an 'insurgency' ... it isn't supposed to 'militarily defeat the occupying force', but make it untenable for the occupying force to continue occupation.

.
one can deduce anything but that certainly was not the point of this article as for 'usual BS', should i assume that you are one of those who still think that Taliban Rule in A-stan will bring peace?
the democracy gives the majority of the pplz to rule .If Talibs are in majority I guess they got the right to rule then.:smokin:

if they as you say have the majority support, they wont hesitate to engage politically and take power. but i highly doubt that.
