LeT replaces Al-Qaeda as biggest threat to US: Security experts

Let is Kashmir based and President Obama knows very well and he is taking personal interest solving this issue. Kashmir is third world problem, and they west know it well. They know who has the key and what will happen if this problem would solve.....

.
The biggest threat to US is their ecenomy before they sort out Kashmir or Afghanistan they should sort out Alabama or Texas.

.
Sir, I believe that LeT was a creation of Pakistan. Perhaps you are mistaking LeT with Taliban.

Let is a creation of RAW and is an execution wing of terrorists plans hatched in dehli.
Al-Qaeeda was created by CIA.
Hope it answers your query!

.
How can you compare LeT with Hamas? Hamas uses suiciders to target israeli civlians, wheras LeT has always targeted Police and Army installations inside Kashmir.

In no way are the too comparable.

There is no Israeli who is civilian except for the under age kids. It is mendatory for every adult Israeli to serve in the armed forces, and they do it with great pride as well as perhaps to get a chance to kill a muslim. Besides, Hamas is a relatively new development, Palestinians are attacking (by blowing themselves up) the occupying jews from the very beginning of the occupation of the Palestine.

I meant that there is a reason why both Hamas and LeT exist.

Palestine and Kashmir are both disputed territories and its been unresolved for more than 61 years now.

Red Fort Attack in 2000, Parliament assault in 2001, Nadimarg Massacre in 2002, London Bombings in 2005, Delhi bombings in 2005, Varanasi Bombings in 2005, Doda massacre in 2006, Mumbai train bombings 2006, and finally Mumbai attacks on 26.11.

Lashkar was involved in all these. Sir. Please don\'t blow smoke up our behinds.

The LeT is a terrorist organization which has repeatedly and deliberately targetted civilians.
Your \"martyrs\" are not infact martyrs, but murderers.

Yes, i've hard this reasoning for years. Because by law Israelis are conscripted, they all become targets. Have you forgotten how many muslim ARab israelis have been killed in the indiscriminate bombings of busses, etc?

Or is that just collaterol damage, and the gift of a ticket to heaven?

Sounds like what the crusader priests said to those asking, why should we kill everyone in jerusalem. There might be christians and innocent people in there. The priests replied, kill them all. God will know his own.

So what you propose? to get killed by the occupation forces every day and do nothing? They have opted for this methods as the last resort. Had they had anything to defend themselves, they would have never gone for the suicide bombing. Condemnation is one thing, having an alternative solution is other. How careful are the zionists when they kill the Palestinians, how many Christians got killed in their recent raids?

.
"Condemnation is one thing, having an alternative solution is other."

They could try kidnapping IDF soldiers. Perhaps they might try indiscriminately firing unaimed rocket/mortars.

The Gazans could try voting for an organization who's charter isn't explicitly devoted to the destruction of Israel.

Of course, they might also wear the uniform of an army and avoid booby trapping apartment buildings while using their citizens as human shields. In fact, they are welcome to choose battlefields that don't include at all their citizens and valued ammunition resupply centers...errrh, sorry-mosques.

You reap what you sow. For the Gazans, they do so in spades.

I suppose that's the accepted price of HAMAS defiance. Very impressive thinking going on from HAMAS H.Q. in Damascus.

May the borders continue to stay closed until HAMAS learns of it's obligations as an elected power and the consequences to it's governed for failing those responsibilities.

Until then, look to Syria and Iran for something more than munitions.

Didn't Pakistan swear it would eat grass to afford a nuke? Well, if destroying Israel is as important to HAMAS as acquiring a nuke was for Pakistan similar sacrifices seem in order, wouldn't you agree?

Hmmm...sauteed rocket in garlic and butter sauce tossed on a bed of small-arms pasta. Yummy!

Renounce the charter, make peace and get on with building what's left of Palestine. Might be a nice change of pace for everybody concerned and something entirely new for Palestinians-especially HAMAS.

.
You reap what you sow.

Continued occupation without a commitment to withdraw to the UN mandated 67 borders in exchange for peace and dismantlement of settlements that have fractured and torn apart Palestinian territory, villages and even individual farms is what the Israelis have sown.

This one sided demonization of the Palestinians while ignoring the ugly and illegal actions of the Israelis that perpetuate the sentiment amongst Palestinians that peace through dialog is not possible is a very big part of why violence continues.

I hope you will remember to be equally critical of the decisions of many Israelis to elect a Neo Nazi racist, in the person of Avigdor Lieberman, into office as well.

.
"This one sided demonization of the Palestinians..."

If any "demonization" is occuring on this board, it isn't being directed at the Palestinians. You're a mod here. You know better.

"...while ignoring the ugly and illegal actions of the Israelis..."

Separate topic. So? Justifies rockets fired with no clue where they land.

"...perpetuate the sentiment amongst Palestinians that peace through dialog is not possible is a very big part of why violence continues."

Fine, A.M. Then make it "peace through war" and learn just how bad war can and really should be.

You don't stand a hair's breath of a chance of returning to 1967 borders so long as HAMAS is in power and that charter stands tall in their minds. It would simply be ludicrous.

That it's embraced so strongly really does establish it's reflection of HAMAS raison d'etre.

HAMAS could have rejected their charter numerous times and are free to do so at anytime. They don't. That means something. HAMAS preference to use GAZANS as soldiers from their H.Q. in Damascus makes them unqualified as partners for peace.

Pontificate all you want, A.M. Those are the ground realities from Israel and they've no incentive to budge one inch to those azzholes in Damascus. Might try breaking some of that linkage.

That would help matters where it matters most-in GAZA.

.
S-2:

You cannot dissociate Israeli atrocities and illegal acts in Palestinian territories from Palestinian actions against Israelis by trying to hide behind 'separate topic' - they are the same topic and inextricably linked.

So long as Israel refuse to even in principle accept the UN mandated 67 borders and dismantle its illegal settlements that have divided family from family in some cases, it continues to indicate that it is not really sincere in settling the dispute.

Acknowledging the principle of the UN mandated borders and dismantling the settlements does not automatically lead to the creation of a Palestinian state or an end to occupation - it demonstrates that the Israelis are in principle committed to the UN resolutions and peace, similar to how Hamas is being required to accept Israel in principle.

In the absence of such a commitment by Israel, they are no better than Hamas, and your refusal to condemn them is merely an articulation of the one sided morally-bankrupt foreign policy pursued by successive US administrations.

"So long as Israel refuse to even in principle accept the UN mandated 67 borders and dismantle its illegal settlements that have divided family from family in some cases, it continues to indicate that it is not really sincere in settling the dispute."

That may be too dogmatic. You can get 98% and an exchange of the rest likely.

Israel has proven sincere in negotiations with Jordan, Egypt, and the PLO under Arafat. There's basis for a peace if Israel's security is acknowledged and secured. Here was a rather important comment by Olmert that must have slipped beneath your radar inexplicably given your interest in this matter.

I'm surprised you missed it.

Olmert Admits to Pre-1967 Borders-Independant Sept. 30, 2008

"...your refusal to condemn them [settlements] is merely an articulation..."

I've never expressed my specific views here on settlements one way or another. Is it a "separate" issue now?

Then there's this unusually uninformed comment which follows-

"...of the one sided morally-bankrupt foreign policy pursued by successive US administrations."

Obama Supports Pre-1967 Deal-London Times Nov. 16, 2008

I know that you're a busy student but spring-break's a great time to catch up on all sorts of things...including the news.;)

Oh, most of our foreign policies are one-sided. So too yours.

Morally-bankrupt remains a stretch coming from a citizen of a nation that's executed a strategy of expedient accomodation with militants which reflects anything but moral principle.

Further on that score of moral bankruptcy, I'd go lightly when passing judgement for a myriad of reasons. SWAT's only the most recent. That says nothing of my nation's policies, actions, and aid that go strangely unacknowledged as part of our foreign policy.

Bank-rupt implies nothing in the account. Remind me of that the next time you experience an earthquake or there's a Tsunami in Indonesia. Half of Islam will drag it's feet but you KNOW we'll be there...and probably first.

Thanks.

.
You must have some feeling of injustice for the Palestinians, S-2. You can't be this one-sided.
