There was no need to go into IoK. The standoff attack munitions have enough range to negate that need and PAF used that option quite effectively. The air superiority was maintained when the IAF fighters tried to challenge PAF and pursued close to or into Pakistani air space. The Pakistani response of shooting down two aircraft resulted in IAF deciding to not contest any further thereby giving PAF tactical air superiority.

I thought that the Mirage aircraft that guided the munition went into Indian-controlled airspace. I guess I must have been wrong. But I do distinctly recall someone assert that PAF had air-superiority inside IOK for a while when all IAF assets had bugged out.

Main lesson is that it is now confirmed that AMRAAM cannot hit Sukhoi beyond 40 km unless RWR fails or something.

Since we are throwing random confirmations I can also confirm that AMRAAM can hit a sukhoi beyond 40.5km even if everything is in perfect working condition. So the sweet spot is to remain exactly at 40km to 40.5km and it will be safe.

Greater use to simulators.

Must be. The numbers quoted amount to about 120 hrs per year per pilot. That’s 6-7 sorties probably per month, minimum to maintain currency. Simulator hours helps to maintain proficiency in a cost effective manner. Obviously it is an average over the entire force, some senior pilots may only be doing fewer to maintain flight status and currency while folks at ACE and Line pilots in squadrons will be doing above the average.

What I learned from that day and I think others have learned as well

1- india is not going to back down from this idea of striking within Pakistan

2- world will not give a flying f what’s happening b/W india and Pakistan

3- we will be alone to defend our mother land and that is fine , we will rock and that is why J10C is now inducted

4- world powers will try calm down Pakistan and as us suck it up and acknowledge Indian superiority, but we are ready to give back equal responses

5- both sides have already selected and preparing, missile was tested and Pakistan understood the game plan and didn’t shown it’s cards, next time it might be different

6- game is on

Things have changed , Pakistan defence and geo strategic interest have pretty tied us to the Chinese . What it means if we do go war it will be in coordination with Chinese.

This works perfectly with us , Pakistan needs peace for the next 30+ years and china continues to invest in Pakistan it will allow no change in the status quo.

Unless Pakistan does some thing like Kargill , China support and or coordination will be assured. As long as the current policy continues we should be fine

Firstly do not insult senior posters. @Chak Bamu is a respected poster on this forum. By all means disagree and counter argue but your post is of no constructive value as you do not present a counter argument.
With regards to my post, you maybe right but safety lies in relying only on one's strength rather than on others. That way you will never be disappointed.

I believe the biggest lesson for Indians from Swift Retort was to not force Pakistan armed forces hand for pure political reasons or they would whack you hard.So since it has been all political and diplomatic shenanigans.

the vedik brains have been filled with more than enough and excessive grandeur of invincibility in war scenario. especially after the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. they think they can rush and invade Pakistan.

a fascist like moohdhi and its party will do something again near the elections. We need to make sure that the response is far grave than the proportional response in 2k19. the good thing is after getting a fist landed in the face the chanakya playing vediqs will always say that they didn't get hit. so next time no need to be restraint.

Plus drones... the turkish drones were used to great effect in Azerbijan and Ukraine

moohdhi will definitely do panga for elections. that much is guaranteed. The Pakistani response needs to be excessive and not measured like it was in 2019. these vediqs think they can at will stir trouble then prepare for a befitting response.
