What's new

Legend of Ayub Khan.

That's the point...if they speak Hindko then that means he is not a Pashton! The problem is people claim to be a lot of things in sub continent... there are more Syed, Qurish, and what not in Pakistan then whole Arabia put together. I know for a fact he could not speak Pashto...one of my uncle was PA officers..he told me once he try to talk pashto with him but Ayub khan could not understand.

What ever language he knew but the fact is he is from NWFP where all the Pashton live as brothers with Hindkowal , go to Abbottabad and see.

.
My friend language is just a way of communication that’s it………I live here in Karachi (originally from NWFP) and I can speak Urdu better than many locals here……does it mean that I am Muhajir…...??????

where all the Pashton live as brothers with Hindkowal

One correction brother, hindkowals are also Pathans, but they speak Hinko.....

So Ghargasht we all are Pathans in NWFP and speaking only Pashto is no test for it.

That is the point...NWFP is not all Pashtons in fact there are Hindko, Saraki, Punjabi, Tajik, Hazara and... in NWFP. This is actually about identity...no Hindko would like to be called Pashtons as much as Pashton would not like to be called Hindko. Ayub khan was a Hindko not a Pashtons!

Wrong... you can speak Urdu, English and what not...but what matter is your native language---the language you use to communicate with your mom and family. Pashton is not racial group but cultural/language group... if one does not speak Pashto or practice pashtonwali(pashton culture) then they are NOT pashtons. Moreover you have no idea about identity of Hindko...if you knew few Hinkdo you would know that they would not like to be called Pashtons.

That is bull... you are watching too much bs tv... not everyone in punjab are Punjabi, not ever one in Sind is Sindi and not everyone in NWFP is Pashton...and yes speaking Pashto is a requirement for being a pashton...the fact is half of punjab, Indian Muslim and Sind claim to be Pashton while they do not speak pashto or practice pashton culture or even identify with pashtons history or even look pashtons.

Well then why you are not giving me "any idea" about their identity…….???......i am interested to know.

no Hindko would like to be called Pashtons as much as Pashton would not like to be called Hindko. Ayub khan was a Hindko not a Pashtons!

Why Pushton would like to be called Hindko when there is no such thing…….Hindko is a name of language not a cast……….the cast is Pathan (it is debatable either the original name is Pathan or Pushton)….…hindko speaking people are always proud to be Pathan/Pushton…..
