Bangladesh import 500 million usd worth of cow alone from India it has been reported couple of years ago. Then just do the math where as in India minister asked its people to eat rats instead of rice.

The People in Bordering Indian states are much better than hungry and poor of BD. Thats why these BD cross the border to earn rs. 500. I know for a hungry and poor BD rs 500 is too much but is it worth to risk their lives?

The crossing border trend shows which side is more poor and desperate to earn profits. Indians are not crossing border to sell cattle, it is BD which is crossing the border to buy them.

i meant that banning cattle trade will only provide extensive opportunities for criminal elements to step in. there is high demand for this trade to happen and it will continue either in illegal form or legal. you might as well get the govt involved, make it legal and earn money off of it.

when the BSF chief recommends such a thing, it would be wise to take it seriously.
