Actually they left a process half way. I don't really blame the UK after 1947 because after that it is upto the countries to resolve issues.

This includes respecting the treaties signed in the past rather than unilaterally changing them and refuting their clauses.

I agree that a lot of our private media channels go ballistic for the smallest of issues because they are free to do so.

But this time it was surprising that Chinese media, which is usually calm and controlled in what they say, did the same.
