Learn from China: Malaysian ex-PM tells India

Ridiculous logic.

Malaysia is a multi-racial society with quite a number of minority Chinese and Indians. We are more diversed than India.

Everyone will have their rights in a centralized government if they consider themselves Malaysian first, above anything else.

A big if that. Not workable in India. Many people still vote on the basis of caste considerations here.

The thing is every state in india contains a different race, so ignoring one state and favouring the other will be viewed as racism or undermining the race.

They consider themselves indians, but they have deep regional pride as well

One question.

Which country has a better standard of living and economy?

That should answer you well enough.

It means NOTHING if a man isn't free. Your odious communist party can 'buy' as much support as it wants, but if a man can't talk freely in public, can't choose his own destiny, doesn't have control of his own life - he is nothing.

This is why no one respects China. That, and the fact you make cheap rip-offs of western inventions and haven't innovated in centuries.

You're just zombies punching out replicas of our success.

Your country makes NO impact culturally either. Maybe just your food which has been westernised. That's it. India also impacts the world culturally through music and film.

How many languages do you speak in your country? How many significant religions exist in your country? How different are cultures of individuals in your country? How many fault lines exist within the integration of your society? Leave alone racial differences, is your society discriminate based on who they born to? Do you even have tribals in your society?

Not to forget.

What size is your population? Can you expect to control individual thinking of over a billion people by passing sermons from center without force? No you cannot. Comparing India with Malaysia in terms diversity is just silly.

These are realities of India. Slowly fading but there they are.

With education of the masses, people will stop grouping themselves according to races.

Much like they way all Americans view themselves as Americans despite their diverse background.

It's ok to be proud of your race, but using it as a pretext of division of the country isn't the best way forwarad.

Malaysia is a democracy. Everyone is free here.

I make cheap rip-offs of western stuff? I struggle to even make a pizza, mate

I'm not Chinese. Perhaps you need to learn about flags, mate?

10 years i stayed in london, you are the perfect example of a simpleton living in the western propaganda bubble which knows nothing about China or even India, let me tell you simpleton you lot time is over, the world order has to rearrange because of China...i remember last time when chinese leader visited europ which singed 20billion+ contract with france and germany but only like 1 billion with U.K that made your economies and gardians so jealous!

and in terms of chinese innovation and 'ripp-offs' which i will not argue with you,(you cant argue with a cow) just browsing few threads here you will get a bit clue that the level of ignorance and stupidity you have.

FYI, BT, Vodafone and 3G are using Chinese Huawei wireless technologys and hardware which has nothing to do with Britain, you can also google this

No other system will work in India other than democracy, that too a type in which the individual states enjoy much freedom from the center (much like what India is today). Thats why many say that even a coup is not possible in India. The diversity of India prevents a dictator from taking command.

China is a much bigger land with a much bigger population.

If central governance can work for them, it can work for you.

But everyone needs to set aside their differences and what not.. and consider themselves has equal citizens of the country. That might help.

Chinese people are much more united than Indian people. You could learn that from them.

Why of flying off into clouds, why don't you come down to earth. China and India are two different countries. We have experimented with centralization in 1975. Indira's son even tried forcible birth control like China. It did not pan out. Indira got soundly defeated. Not because we felt less "Indian". But because we value our freedom more. We did \not go through the throes of a freedom struggle, in order to give it up to a dictatorship led by our own countrymen.

I've been to India before.

You're a country of many languages, many castes but one race. You're all Indian race.

Malaysia is a country of many languages, religion and races.

But perhaps you're right. It's a very different scenario. Especially the population and size of the country aspect. After all, you would know better about your country than I would.

And yes, we do have tribals in Sarawak, they're kind of a tourist attraction these days

When you say "world" you mean South Asia right. Cause here in the west the only people who think bollywood is hot sh!t are Indians, it's just sh!t to everyone else, but the curry is great though.

Dude if you have a chance pls check our currency note. The denomination is printed in 15 languages + English +Hindi. Its a small hint of how diverse the nation is.

Relax.

At the end of the day, you would know better about your country than I would.

I'm just giving suggestions. Don't know what extra freedom you have compared to the Chinese though.
