Hi,
Saudi Arabia would stay as the traditional leader of the muslim world---because even though Pakistan is supposedly sitting on a stockpile of 200 nucs---it still asks for the Saudi blessings all the time.
I do not think that Turkey is interested in that position. Their current leader lacks the capability---and as the turks are financially better off than the rest of their muslim brethren---they would rather stay the course than indulge. Their stand against the Israelis is well respected
As for Iran----this nation has lost all the vision to be a progressive and energetic nation and lead from the front. It did everything in its power to fail as a nation than to succeed and this is from the most brilliant brains of the muslim world---. Culturally the most superior ethnic group in the Islamic world with a glorious history with a tradition of most beautiful art and artifacts just simply could not understand what it takes to be a successful nation with all the resources at hand----iran is a matter of shame for the muslim world at how it has ruined itself and wasted its resource. The nation of iran shows that how a nation that has so many resources to succeed and become a true super power opted out to be the worst amongst the nation of men.
And let us not forget Nigeria---a nation that should have been the leader of the African continent in manpower resource, intellect and military---this nation does indeed wear the hallmark of shame of all the muslim nations---as a matter of fact Nigeria lead the world as the hallmark for a failed nation---with so many resources at hand and so much intellectual capital---and nothing to show except for corruption and greed.
As for Pakistan----this nation lacks character----character that is needed to be the leader of their own destiny---greed corruption and nepotism is the hallmark of being a Pakistani---. Their only saving grace has been india----. Hindustan---out of sheer stupidity of its action over the last 40 plus years has made Pakistan a nuclear power---and without being a nuc power---Pakistan is a nobody.
Egypt---it is in the similar situation to that of Pakistan but less in corruption and nepotism---. Its only problem is that it is sitting next to Israel and any war wth Israel is a war with the U S---. If Egypt could get out of the tentacles of the brotherhood---there is hope for it. It will never be the leader of the muslim world but could be a very productive member.
So for a nation to be a leader it needs to have the political clout and financial power, it needs to have a military that can stand on its own and lead from the front with actual combat experience and it needs to be a nuc power----and the only muslim nation that comes close to it is saudi Arabia. It has the finances---it has a military not tested but with its relationship to Pakistan it may have access to the last option---. But to top it off---being the caretakers of Ka'aba---the Saudis by default enjoy that position.
Erdogan openly said 1.5 billion Muslims are waiting for Turkey to rise but I don't think 1.5 billion Muslims are waiting for Turkey. Muslim world is too fragmented and in the past the Muslim world was not united by diplomacy or what not but with the hard hand. That is why his foreign policy failed until now. For example.Erdogan is still whining about the Egyptian coup while the rest of the world is past that and are accepting Sisi. He is running behind the facts.
Hi,
Pakistan is waiting for Turkey to succeed---. The problem that Erdogan has that he starts to interfere in the internal affairs of a friendly nation and that is a no no. If a change has been made---do not interfere---let the things work out on their own and just make good relations with those in power.
