Firstly, if it was limited by 6g by software I don't see how it pulled a 6.9!

The loops that we see in air shows are basic in the sense that most aircraft can do it.. Its only fan boys that sit and stare at it to compare if a JF-17 did better or the LCA did better!

let's not get there! The LCA as a project is super important to India not because the final product is a game changer when compared to other aircraft but a game changer as far as indigenous technology is concerned. Its not LCA but what we learned from it that is going to benefit us in the long run.

can anyone tell me what are g forces ,(what is pulling of 6.9g)

what +9g and _3g means?
and does it happens during turning, falling or vertical climb?:cheers:

and you should also know the reason...the missing guns...

And not to mention the reliance of USAF on missiles and lack of dog-fighting training following Korean War.

It happens in all of them. Under any sort of acceleration. But what we usually refer to it in is the turning. When the airplane comes out of a steep dive(for example) the pilot pulls up. On account of the centrifugal force the pilot experiences downward acceleration-pushing him towards his seat-. In the pilots reference frame e is experiencing an 'outside force' much like gravity pushing him downwards. If this force is 5 times that of gravity, we say he has pulled '5G'.
So, under 5G a 100kg pilot will experience his weight to be 500kg. These forces put a lot of strain on both the airframe and the pilot. Most airplanes can't withstand more than 10-12G for a duration longer than a few seconds. A pilot would most cerainly black out (ie: the blood vessels leading up to his brain and in his eyes, nose etc. would burst) under 9-10 G for more than a few seconds.

If he was pitching down, the centrifugal force would push him upwards out of his seat. This would be the negative G force. Most planes cannot tolerate too much negative G and neither is it efficient. (This is why pilots invert and pull up to perform a 'u turn')
