As far as the mark 2 prototypes are concerned, some of their engines are already here. 99 F414 engines have been ordered, 2 have just arrived waiting on air frames.

Mark 2 will definitely have air frame changes, to the point it might end up with canards. There are already wind tunnel models testing.

Well, no. It did get further orders for the IAF, which you fail to mention. And there is support for mark 2 from the gov, IAF, and developer now. 2 of the 99 ordered GE F414 engines have also arrived. They're waiting on a finished airframe.

There is a big surprise on Kaveri engine... wait for french premier's visit... GE 404 & GE 414 are for mark 1 and mark 1A only...

GoI is putting its weight behind own projects... private sector is included to overcome the problem of reservation in jobs...

Kaveri this time isnt joined together to mark 2 or AMCA programs. The 99 ordered will be used for mark 2 and AMCA.

TATA and GE are already producing a plant to produce components, possible servicing.

Actually, even in recent comments the IAF chief have verbally committed to the Mark 2, which was never done before. IAF wants to replace every single MIG 21, 27 with Rafales isnt going to happen, from economical point of view, Tejas will fill the role of a low tier bird just fine. IAF will not depend on Tejas like PAF does with JFs.

Lessons were learnt in gross mismanagement- take those and atart anew. The MCA will be money well spent.

Fact of the matter is, it aint dead as much as you would wish for. Perhaps you guys should now give it up. It aint gonna give you sweet dreams anymore, the project is back on track. Probably now you can come up with fancier lines such as "its getting shoved down the throat of the armed forces", some of the Pakistanis have already shifted to these lines, as calling it Failed no longer gives them a good nights dream.
