This year Pakistan launched many ships man. Navy getting a real boost.

Still not enough and these are all relatively small ships

Don't know exactly but last I checked KS&EW had no space for building ships even after expansion. The orders have been given to over sea ship yards. Till 2022 the KS&EW has it's hands full for deliveries. The New Shipyards at Gwadar will also join in soon as work on it has also begun. More ships are being built for Pakistan in China Turkey Romania and other shipyards.

Pakistan is advancing it's naval ambitions at a very fast pace. Don't know why but I think Pakistan has some plan for Indian ocean.

Why not a shipyard at omra? Why only 2?

this is the 2nd of the two ships PN ordered for PMSA. hence this concludes PMSA revamping for now with induction of 4 600 ton MPA and 2 1500 ton MPA, up-gradation of 4 existing MPA boats.

Keeping in mind the importance of cpec, the infiltration from iran and india and the scarcity of assets there should be a follow on order of 1 or 2 more 600 and 1500 ships.

Alhamdulillah. These last 2 year has been good for PN. Many ships has been launched in the last 2 years & many on orders.

• Eight new Hangor-class submarines equipped with air-independent propulsion (AIP) (China);
• four Type 054A/P multi-mission frigates (China);
• four MILGEM corvettes and frigates (Turkey);
• two 1,900-ton offshore patrol vessels (OPV) (Netherlands).
• Two Corvette from Damen Romania.
• One Tanker (Turkey)
• Three Azmat FAC built + 01 more on order (KSY)

If im not wrong this is the second patrol vessel after the Kashmir class.

Romanian one was a surprise as i had originally missed the news about it until the launch of that corvette.

DAMEN built 2300 ton Corvette for Pakistan.

DAMEN Shipyard Galati, Romania launched the first of two 2,300 tons corvettes built for Pakistan Navy at a ceremony held at M/s DAMEN Shipyard Galati, Romania on May 17.

The first ship is expected to join the Pakistan Navy by end of this year and the second would be delivered by mid-2020. The contract for their manufacture was signed in 2017, Pakistan media reported.

Pakistan Navy’s Vice Admiral Abdul Aleem who spoke on the occasion said that these platforms will act as force multipliers in enhancing Navy’s capability of safeguarding maritime frontiers and would offer more flexibility in the conduct of Pakistan Navy’s initiative of independent Regional Maritime Security Patrols in the Indian Ocean Region.

The Pakistan Navy commissioned a locally built and ordered 4 warships from a Chinese shipyard in the past year indicating accelerated naval procurement.

U have counted opv and Damen Corvette twice

Sir is it still possible to get SWIFT ships meanwhile is it not clear as per various specifications that OPVs coming in near future are not PMSA but for Navy and shall have proper armament heavier than PMSA ships.
