“The prime minister and his cabinet should resign and there should be fresh elections,” PTI Information Secretary Dr Shireen Mazari said at a press conference in Islamabad, adding that no one from the government had taken responsibility for the crisis.

“The minister [of petroleum] should have resigned, or the PM should have fired him,” she added.

“This is a ghost government,” Mazari said.

“The prime minister and federal ministers are enjoying perks and privileges, and are not doing anything else.”

She expressed concern over an electricity crisis, which she believed was in the making. “There will be no electricity in the coming days as furnace oil reserves are running empty,” she added.

Mazari said the incumbent government had abdicated its authority during the last few months, therefore, should no longer remain in power.

“It is the ISPR which is issuing statements on the war on terror, but it is the responsibility of the information ministry,” she pointed out.

“The government has done nothing regarding the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP), except conducting meetings while the army has played its role,” she added.

Taking credit for the reduction in petroleum prices, she said, “It was because of our sit-in that the government reduced prices.”

If you look at the full article, you'd see that they actually have a lot of points. NS and co just made a committee, the usual way of making people shut up without actually doing anything - even if that wasn't their intention, the committee would definitely take a long time, time that Pakistan doesn't have.

The PMLN publicity stunt of making petrol prices temporarily cheaper seems to have backfired too, God knows what BS they did to get the prices to reduce but it's come back to bite our arses.

First of all initially imran khan also denied that he met TUQ in london, then he admits meeting.

secondly in Saudi Arabia Political Activities are not allowed, if they met in any house may be its separate thing, but they cant able to meet with each other in Hotel or Public places, or Hold any News Conference Etc.

thirdly as we all know Saudi Arabia is the biggest ally of NS, and if IK and TUQ thinks, that if they met, and NS not knew what is cooking in Saudi Arabia, then they are living in fools Paradise.

My perception is IK and TUQ both knew that they failed to tackle Government before Senate Elections.

Qadri, Imran expected to meet in Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan are expected to meet in Saudi Arabia this week, says media report.
According to media reports, Dr Qadri will be arriving in Saudi Arabia from USA on Tuesday and Imran Khan along with his wife is also travelling to the country.
This will be first meeting between Qadri and Imran, since sit-ins of both parties were called off in the federal capital. Sources add the two leaders are expected to discuss the political situation of the country and initiating a new protest movement during the meeting.
