I want to see an increase in the Indian Navy Personnel, I dont mind decrease in IA. But IN has to buck up to 1,50,000

I'm kind shocked to see that Russia doesn't have such a large army, probably when they broke they decreased what was it's number before?

There seems something fishy with the numbers especially since i have read somewhere that Russia still has nearly a million personall in the military and U.S. has around 2 million while Iran has around 400,000. Where exactly did you get this data from though? Im curious.

Most reliable estimates are supposed to be by the International Institute of Strategic Studies, London; one of the Jane's publications.

Any member who is a subscriber, can dowload 2006 figures and advise the rest of us about relative numbers.

The current size of Pakistan's army is 520,000. In 2004 it was downsized by 50,000, so that means before downsizing it should have been 570,000 not 750,000 Adux.

I think Pakistan if it can, should decrease the forces level further, and i am pretty sure thats what they are trying to do.

Well even the Chinese army is downgrading... so what do you base this opinion upon?

Lots of poorly trained and equipped troops are not of much value. A smaller better trained and equipped army will be MUCH more effective. Also it will be much more cost effective.
