It actually doesn't means anything as EU means Germany and France all others r not too important and Germany already sleeping with Russia so it means nothing only more high taxes to the Thier own citizens as china has enough to wait and sing songs while it's Greeks , Spanishs. and others who won't give any dam to EU and it's dead parliment politicaly since UK kicked hard on their old saggy ballzzz!

US-China trade deficit is highest it has been in history while % of GDP reliant on US China trade is lowest in history.

India is getting rekt in every way from covid to economy to military.

China controls 100% of the Paracels and built 3x 3000 m runway airbases in the Spratlys capable of hosting strategic bombers; the only other airbase is Vietnam's puny 1000 m runway that can barely loft fighters.

Turns out that it's a bad idea to bet against China and a worse one to actively oppose China.

Typical anti China report by SCMP, phase as if we are desperate for the deal. This deal not just benefit China but EU too. The taxes on EU product to China will still in place and EU product will be less competitive in China market. EU will get hurt too.. See how EU just put the deal on hold instead of cancel it. More or less just to win domestic votes.

I expect those EU companies will go to non EU countries and put their non EU label on it and then sell to China.

the deal benefitted the eu more than China. Who cares. They can chimp out if they want.

The sanctions are an attempt for China to get out of the deal which is good.

Yup it was designed to make them pissed US off by giving them the 'same' treatment as US companies but it seems they are giving up their interest for the sake of becoming a poodle.... There goes EU sovereignty, France and Germany were the biggest supporters but ultimately EU is divided.

Actually, not many cutting edge technology that European have for China, they are excellent in machines, autos, industrial equipment, and energy, but laggard in future tech like AI, quantum, biotech, smart EV, aerospace.

This deal was not about BRI or 5G or virus allegation or anything else. I guess you never read the deal.
