Land in Shanghai, Beijing sinking fast

Agriculture is the main contributor to water usage.
Industry get more bucks out of water use than agriculture.

Dont know how it is done in China, but primarily the agricultural and industrial water usage comes from ground water bodies (like rivers and lakes) whereas drinking and water for urban usage can be heavily sourced from ground water table. Heavy usage of ground water table can cause the land to sink. This is a problem not just unique to Shanghai, but many a cities around the world who heavily rely on ground water.

Shanghai area is really overpopulated, they need to start developing more tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Else a similar problem will emerge for all tier 1 cities in China. I hope they start discouraging more people from moving into these already mammoth cities for the sake of long term sustainance.

The tier 2 cities are catching up pretty quick, but the booming population in Beijing/Shanghai mostly came from the rural areas.

Han Chinese had no business in Beijing until the Ming Dynasty. What kind of a dynasty would build its capital next to the border?

Can't take the truth I see.

Your turning this from one thread to another now you were banned for this before Slowman.

I, unlike you, enjoy the full freedom of speech.

I do understand that people like you who lack free speech tend to be reserving and cautious when saying something. Too bad I can say whatever I want without holding back.

Talking about Han, you should at least using a map of Han Empire. (~200 BC to 200 AD)

Not only in Beijing, the history of the Hua Xia people even pre-dated his Altaic BS in Dongbei province.

Bangzi better to stick off with their own tiny peninsula, and stop of dreaming other people's land.

My key point is actually at the North Part of our Korean Peninsula.

Tang Dynasty has made a big mistake of allowing those Silla Bangzi to steal the northern part of peninsula from Gaogouli.

Bangzi descended only from Silla, which originated in the southern part of the peninsula, it is better for them to stay there forever.

On this map, some Japanese over stretched the frontier of Han Empire to mid and north Asia. But that's also within the "sphere of influence" or "sphere of interest" of the empire.

FYI the blue part around the Mediterranean is the Rome Republic at that time.

As for the Great Tang Empire (600AD to 900AD), the world looks like this.

And again some Japanese historian loved Tang too much that even made the gulf of persia part of Tang's territory. But inthe history there is a Prince of Persia exiled to Tang after his empire was taken by the Arabs.
