What happens if people pick up and leave willy nilly with their rabbit number of kids and are not counted by the census of the illegal source country, but counted in the destination? India's is around 2.43 from all data I have seen and Bangladesh' rate is replacement rate (2.1) essentially.

I don't know where World Bank gets its data from, Acc to Niti AAyog's SRS report the TFR of India dropped below 2.4 in 2012. In 2016 we had a TFR of 2.3. This is supported by NHFS-4 report conducted by Health Minnistry, it placed India's TFR at 2.2 for 2016.

The TFR of India would be much lower, if not for the states like Bihar which had a TFR of > 3.

Sadly I haven't seen any of them in India vs China thread where Indian cities like Mumbai or Delhi was getting compared with Shanghai or other Chinese cities. I wonder why?
