Most unfortunate.

Have you any idea whats in its place or could you post a picture of the site now.
Well that tank was in Shahalmi, and burning of Shahalmi in 1947 was the darkest part of Lahore history. This place was lost than I think ... otherwise shopping plaza's would have been built here

Lahore Canal is even more beautiful today
 
Okay Ratan Chand tank, its call Ratan chand di sarah. Is now a place where they grind salt commercially. Tank is also gone, in its place small houses have been built. Place was occupied by immigrants from Amritsar in 1947
 
if u see google earth Lahore must have 1000 time bigger than it was than. May be even more
 
Wonder if anyone can post images of this legendary cannon as it exists now ?
