Yes they can request President like it used to be in past or they can certainly ask their puppies to be absent or support no-confidence vote. If establishment asks Umer Ayoub Khan to vote against Niazi what you reckon will happen? Be realistic dude, on top of that PDM resignations will automatically end his PM’ship but it will be devastating for country. So sacking through no-confidence is also not a bad option. I have no problem with Khan if our economy is going into the right direction but its not. Resignations will lead to by-elections and by elections on 150 seats means you’re targeting half of the country and imagine how negative that would be for our economy and flow of foregin investment will stop.

I honestly think due to the past dictatorships, people have this hysteria that the army is in control.
Sorry, but no, it isn't. Pakistan has moved on from that era, the people and army are working together on almost everything.
Its time we Pakistanis realize this that the army isn't involved in politics, we drag it into politics by making false accusations against them, the only proper functioning institution in Pakistan.
