Lahore artists stage protest against Punjab govt

LAHORE: Stage artists held a protest in Lahore on Thursday night against the murder of fellow actress Qismat Baig.

Qismat Baig was critically injured when unidentified gunmen riding motorbikes attacked her car in Harbanspura area in the city. Baig’s guard was also injured in the firing.

The actress was rushed to Services Hospital, where she breathed her last.

Reacting to the killing, dozens of actors blocked Mall Road and chanted slogans against the provincial government.

Stage actress Afreen said that the Punjab government was responsible for the murder of Qismat Baig.

“What is our fault? We are artists and our job is to bring smile on faces of people,” she said, adding that Qismat Baig was brutally murdered in broad daylight. – SAMAA

But point shouldn't be an issue(we both know it will never work like that these guys will have some deep pockets but still)She should get justice
