That car model shown above (2014 Nissan Sentra) was a very popular economy car sold in the United States some fifteen years ago, It was not this same model of course. It was so reliable that Nissan kept making them and it diluted the value of the Nissan brand. Later - because the average American got way fatter, they could not fit themselves and all their pudgy kids inside this car and the model above this in size (the Altima) got very popular as a result.

So now you know why Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata and Honda Accord are the largest sellers in US and that is why they are all made in US factories now. And Europe has to make do with Corollas, Civics, Hyundai i30's and VW Golfs. :sarcastic:

its an alliance Russia can play two against each other and we will probably confiscate Renault assets one day due to western sanctions

Renault owns 40%+ of Nissan, both now own probably more than 50% of AvtoVAZ.

I think you're just jelly, cuz even when you are happy you can present something from Russia i shoot you down by telling you ownership stakes and technology transfer.

I think your response is silly at best and dumb at the worst, but i like shooting you down anyway.

It's amusing to see that some wannabe redneck thinks that crap known as Camry, Sonata and Accord is not sold in Europe.

Taking a look at the top cars sold in US reveals the days of 5, 6 meter road cruisers are definitely gone. Now it loooks like European top 20! With just somewhat weirder names on rebadged cars.:omghaha:

The Sentra is a small car. It is considered an entry-level "woman's car" in the US. Typically women are shorter than men. My wife had one. In order for me to sit in it without my knees bent up into the dashboard I had to push the seat almost all the way back. Nobody could sit in the rear seat behind me. It doesn't have anything to do with being fat.

Now it looks like European top 20! With just somewhat weirder names on rebadged cars.

Tiny cars are still very popular in Europe. Tiny cars are not as popular in the US.

Ya, but there'a a bunch of compact cars in US list. There's a definite shift from let's say 20 years ago.
I was a kid in the 90's and some magazine my dad was subscribed to was issuing a catalog of all (most) car makers and models yearly, like 400 pages, nice color photos, specs and all. And as far as i remember there were no compact cars on offer from US manufacturers except perhaps Saturn.

I suppose though that with pickup's included the list would look quite differently. And i probably wouldn't have said that it resembles a European one. Although, you should know, some of what you call tiny is actually Corolla/Focus class. Truly tiny are only both Fiat's and Toyota Yaris.

You're hilarious. I merely reworded it because i conceded that with pickup's included, list would be different.

Tiny = Subcompact car - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you want beter classification, Smart/VW Up = super tiny class
Yaris/Polo/Clio= tiny class
Corolla/Focus/Golf/Elantra = lower middle class- what you call compact
BMW 3/ Ford Mondeo(Fusion), Cadillac CTS, Accord, Camry (Avensis in Europe) = middle class
BMW 5, Merc E, Audi A6, = upper middle class.
BMW 7/ Merc S, Audi A8, Caddilac better models, cheaper RR's and Bentley's = upper class
Maybach, better RR and Bentley's = top

#edit: added last class for better distinction

I think you need to come over here to understand the scale of the cars.
This is the size of the #1 vehicle sold in the USA
ford-f150-detroit-12.jpg

The #2 vehicle is just as big.

@Nihonjin1051 maybe you can explain that compact cars are tiny and subcompact cars are suicide machines.

Indeed, but is it really a personal vehicle or more a commercial one?

Its personal vehicle, mate. Americans don't just have 1 car, too. Many have 2 cars; its common to have 1 vehicle for everyday use (for work) and another car for family use.
