He will never forget that he could not become PM because of Modi while conveniently forgetting that without Modi BJP would never have won.

No one can deny that Modi is under siege now. No one even talks about 'Modi Wave' anymore- even hardocore Bhakts don't deny that there is no such thing now. Upcoming elections in Bihar, Punjab and Bengal- no one gives any chance for BJP to make inroads. If Modi stands for elections today, he'll probably get only half of what he got before.

I think it's clear that modi may not survive after the 1st term, especially if he continues like this. India is looking for political alternatives. No matter what his fault Advani has far more respectability than modi now, since he has maintained the image of a stateman. It is a good time for him to start pitcing his profile forward. But I think it's too late for him- he's too old. If BJP wants to retain its relevance by projecting an alternative to Modi, I think Rajnath Singh or Parrikar (sadly misunderstood by @Abingdonboy ) might be good alternatives.

On the congress side they're doing the intelligent thing of pushing forward Chidambaram. They know that Rahul Gandhi has little credibility as a mass leader, so I guess SOnia+ MMS style arrangement for RG+ Chidambaram is what is being mooted.

I kinda feel sad for Modi. it was expected that he would be there for 10 years. But like all demogogues India seems intent on ending his reign much before that.

India is already under informal emergency. Today the power is concentrated in one man(or troika) and inner party democracy is weakening. Not only the party and leaders even the supporters are intolerant to any criticism. Bad mouthing radicals are free to spread venom in society.
No wonder people will feel regret on what they have done in 2014 general elections.

After drowning the city in Grabage for 3 mionths by withholding salaries of Sanitation workeers, he's now all out to 'strike fear' by throwing 21 of their leaders in jail including the CM. All throughout he's f**cked up the economy and messed up administration

The tendency of Congress to stop 'at a point' is very clear. As far as they are concerned, once they lose an election, the other party's right to rule. The days of vendetta politics have not been seen in decades. Not the case with BJP now.

even heared of jagan mohan reddy( son of ex AP CM who is also achristian ) and madhu khorra EX CM of jharkhand who is also a christian what did roman catholik christain sonia ghandi did with them if that was not polictical vandetta nothing could ever be

nobody is hankering for anything.
its just that a new god has taken avatar during last general elections (who, even when he poops, poops gold) and his "dev"s and "devis" cant stop emphasizing how "india is this and india is that".
anyway, i apologize for the fire i caused in ur "less influential side". i was just not ok with ppl who cover up the mistakes of "holy party" by saying that the gandhi party has done it too.

My @$$ that was vendetta, that was plain politics. Congress never planned to arrest 21 MLAs of a party only because it lost an election. It never made it a point to put Modi or Advani behind bars when they were in power. Once they lost, they lost.

Chidambaram is a mass leader with great political support. Your stupid image does not prove anything. And if you're delusional about a 'modi wave' still going strong that's delusional. Look at this very forum. How many are ready to support modi the way they did before the elections. Whenever I meet people, the same ones that ardently supported him are now saying

'ellam oru pola thanne'.

Where are the big and massive election victories he enjoyed just a few months ago? Sushma Swaraj is not getting any support from anywhere and Vasundhara is a hoplessly lost case. No one believes Modi is uncorrupt. So if he's not corrupt, not done anything for the economy and on top of that is doing Ghar Wapsi etc. you think people are fools that they'll support him?
