Kylie Jenner under fire for 'not paying' apparel workers in Bangladesh

.
This is more noticeable among rich upper class women, in the N number of universities in Dhaka, I've witnessed some disturbing things happen while I was in DU, not in the least rich girls slut shaming a poor girl and then getting away with it, a wholly false and cooked up accusation.

Some women these days (well-heeled ones, apparently) have veered away from their long-nurtured traditional values of compassion and caring, which made them valuable and objects of male reverence, especially as mothers.

When that becomes reality, they are no more than soft hollow baby-making machines. Sad.

Ooof, thats harsh.

Ooooof, that was harsh.

Well it is what it is.

Woman without values is an empty vessel, a different vessel than a man, but still empty.

There are hopefully some chances to redeem themselves.

I'd like to add that it's not just endemic to women, even among men these day, values like compassion, brotherhood and honesty are hard to find.

Hate to sound like a broken record but I believe that honesty, integrity and compassion are the values that separate us from undomesticated animals, the things that make us Human, if we lose our foundations and our integral values then we simply cease to be human.

We have failed as humans and in the larger sense, we have failed the rest of humanity.

I called these slut shamer(s) out once, and got reprimanded for it, one of the girl's umpteenth boyfriend (quite literally fornication buddy) was linked to BCL.

Whooptie freaking dooo, did I have a good time, dodging that heap of trouble.

See they won't be compassionate, and they won't let you do the right and set things straight either.

Animals I say, uncouth animals.

Well said - brother.

Not worth it to hang around this lot.

Even money won't bring these people peace, because they (being how they dole out misery) receive lots of misery, either divine or human. And therefore they are always miserable, which is reflected in their behavior.

I make it an express point to ignore these people, whether in real life, or in PDF (trolls). Not my job to correct the issues in their miserable lives.

Life is too short to waste time with these types. So many more gracious and rewarding options...

Not like before, I find Pakistanis with education can be very polite when talking or dealing with others. They follow Lucknow culture. Problem with Indians are they are too proud to be Indian because of its long history.

In the case of BD, many are newly rich and politeness is regarded as weakness by even the general public. So, they show aggressiveness in dealing with others. Very rough behavior shows people here are not self-confident and as a result they want to show off whatever power one has. People have very low sense of dignity.
Hey, South Indians are not that cocky in real life.

Spoken like a true Chittagonian, we all claim to be experts at the art of bashing people.

Or as we like to say it 'tore ai bash diyom'.
From my experience Chittagongian's has an affinity to violence. I personally find the bunch extremely dangerous. They will kill & murder over a dispute involving even few thousand bucks. No offence meant to the nice people of Chittagong.

I grew up in that city & picked up a few skills from them. One is "gali" & second one is bashing people.

Personally I try to be polite & gentle with people. But I wouldn't have survived "probash jibon" without that training, I will admit that!

Property and inheritance disputes are the fiercest.

I've seen a fair share of similar crapshoot in my own family, puts Barnum circus to shame, didn't end in violence but morals were throw out the window, I'll tell you that.

And you're right about the violence, hear of terrible stuff happening in the villages regularly and now in the cities too with increasing frequency.

Teknaf (South of Chittagong city) is like the 'hood' now, anything can happen at anytime. Rohingya gangs everywhere committing violent crimes; extorting, killing people and what not. Foolhardy to go out there after 10 pm, shame really.

Tell you what, we used to think our Chittagonian lot were tough as rocks until we met the rohingya. These guys are vicious, another level of violent, unprecedented violence and insensitivity.

@Arthur Say, you grew up in Chittagong ? Mind me asking in which parts,... Just curious.

Nasirabad. I visited the mazar many times. From what I remember, the "majari " kocchops liked bananas a lot, not the biscuits(?) though. Most those would go to the "gojari maach ".

TBH those tortoises used to freak me out like nothing else

I have some good childhood memories in that area. Never got the chance to visit after moving though. It has been so many years ago, yet seems like just yesterday.....

Well good for you. Though I am not a slave to the whisky bottle, I did hang out at Chittagong club in my many visits to that city. Interesting people, some not too different from @DalalErMaNodi 's handle images. Some with atrocious taste in loud clothes and loud behavior and maybe akin to those large turtles. But some also very polite.

Those are some rather interesting observations, never heard of us being perceived/described as 'colourful' in our taste of clothing but perhaps I'm too used to it, so I never noticed it.

@Bilal9 you're the true amalgamation of the two greatest Bangladeshi personalities; the Shujon & the Rafique.

I'm curious what part of Bangladesh was blessed with the birth of a great personality like yourself, please indulge me. :)

I mean C'mon a Shujon and a Rafique in one package, crazy.

I will change my display picture today, hope you will all like it; fret not, red hair guy isn't going nowhere.

Bhai I was born in Dhaka proper (Dhanmondi), my parents are from Brahmanbaria.

Being loud or colorful can't or shouldn't be a bad thing. I just got a kick out of the Chatgaiya businessfolks at the club, was invited to a few Mejbaans etc. :-) . Loved it.

Why get rid of your profile - I like it. Keep it the way it is. :-)
