Kraison sets 10-year target to make Royal Thai Navy best in Asean

I would say that Indonesia, by far, has a larger naval force. And they're quickly developing / acquiring state of the art inventory. Indonesia can muster as well as survive a long war. Whereas nations like Singapore, Malaysia, tho they have state of the art equipment, would collapse in a protracted conflict.

I agree with you that Indonesia has not only the largest navy in SEA who can sustain a war for a long period of time more than any other country in the region, but they are also bound to be the defacto leader in SEA due to their sheer size. Vietnam too has a decent navy with Diesel submarines acquistions from Russia and anti air defence systems. However, to compare them like a memeber on here did with the rise of Japans navy in the 1895?? WTH?:o: They are not even near, not even in 50 years tbh. Japan is simply in a different league(even the Japan of the 1890s/1900s). However, compared to its ASEA/SEA peers, Vietnam sure has a credible/decent Navy with an ever increasing/advanced capabilities. But i don't think it will ever be a match at all for Japan and China to tbh.

Im just surprised the Philippines lags so much behind all its SEA peers, even though it has a larger GDP than Vietnam. Its Navy is almost non existent. In fact Vietnam will decimate the philippines in a matter of minutes in the event of a conflict. The philippines needs to get its acts together. Even Myanmar with a far lower GDP/backward economy with decades of sanctions/isolation is doing wayyyy better than them.:disagree:
