Good to know that the newly raised Al Barq force is not chosen from regular Police Force but from Elite Force of KPK Police. I was also suggesting same thing. That our SWAT units should have full training as SSG or SSGN have and than in every Police Station there should be 30 to 40 Police Guys who are training as Elite Police or let say LCB of Army.

I know Pakistan should have to de politicize Police Force and all other stuff but in my opinion all provinces combined Pakistan should have around 40000 to 50000 SWAT unit which have same training as SSG has and than in every Police Station there should be at least 40 Police Guys who have same training as LCB of Army. Even regular Police Guy should have one and half month Anti Terror Training.

Good point! KPK Police has set an example for the whole country to follow. Personally I think SSU is the first step in Sindh to correcting the failure of Sindh Police. I think there should be a SSU like unit in Punjab as well. If the police is paid well and provided with the correct equipment then I think that will reduce corruption in the police force.

I guess there is CIA Lahore (Criminal Investigation Agency) but to be honest I have heard about corruption with in CIA. Just a while back a CIA officer was kicked out for corruption.
I don't think Punjab really has a proper elite police force.

With no regulations or checks in any departments corruption will flourish. This PMLN gov needs to understand the progress of any nation does not depend on the amount of motorways, metro buses and rail links built. Money needs to be spent on policing education healthcare too.

They are not, I my self am from Lahore (all though I live in the UK). I have seen many police officers in Lahore that go above and beyond the call of duty however the government does not fund these people properly. Lack of resources and equipment/training results in a weak force.
Did you watch the show? If you did you must have seen how KPK Police has reformed, all they need is better funding, equipment and training.

They are a anti-terrorism unit and do not give escorts to VIP or VVIP. Wajahat Saeed did a show on it, check it out. It will help you understand more about SSU.

For that to happen, our elected rulers have to get their priorities right. Most of them want the police to act like their personal thugs.
