1 - They aren't planting Bamboo plants, not all of it
2 - The minimum distance if kept 5 ft X 5ft in rows and subsequent tree, the number for an acre comes out to be 1742 trees/acre.

The initiative is wonderful, all props to Khan's team and i hope all provinces take note, however i am contesting the claim of 1 billion tress specifically.

They never claimed to have planted 1 billion by hand

A significant chunk of the number comes from conservation and protection efforts.

Billion tree tsunami is obviously some catchy title, since "1.18 billion tree regeneration and planting strategy" is obviously less of an attractive name.

He only transplant hair on his head because that helps against smog in
Punjab, it is also very good for the environment. Dramabaz and Hussain Nawaz
have also joindin to help with this greta cause.

Even if KPK Gov planted 220 million trees it is still more
than Khoon League.

In fact, the Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly is a known timber mafia. Look at the trees around Rajanpur, they have largely been cut off by this MPA. But the Noonies think that is great because that corruption is generating black money for the economy. Shameful people

Resolution submitted in KP Assembly against mega corruption in BTTP

PESHAWAR: The dissident MPA of PTI on Wednesday submitted a resolution in Khyber Pakhtukhwa Assembly seeking pointing out mega corruption and irregularities in Billion Tree Tsunami Program (BTTP) of the provincial government.

The resolution stated the PTI Chief Imran Khan announced BTTP under which he claimed to get plant as many as one billion trees across the province, followed by an announcement of four-year BTTP by the provincial government at a cost of billions of rupees.

The resolution said that after passage of four-year, PTI Chief Imran Khan and KP government claimed that planting of 1.18 billion trees but later the KP government claimed that two billion trees target was achieved and the provincial government announced to plant two billion trees.

The resolution stated that as per the official record so far 240 million trees have been planted instead of tall claim of 1.18 billion.

The resolution sought an inquiry from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to probe irregularities committed in the program especially in purchase of plants without tenders and payment of Rs 6 billion cash payment for purchase of plants.

The resolution recommended the provincial government to refer the matter to NAB so that the persons involved in mega corruption could be punished.
