Korean-American software engineer claims discrimination by Intel managers of Indian descen

Nope, Intel file special bid to Trump to exempt this jv.

Well 5G can't be held back for advanced countries. For our subcontinental context may not make sense, but for US/EU very coveted technology.

This is so true.

If you work in management or human resource, you would know this is so fkin true.

I sold Intel stock few months ago, now Intel want Huawei partnership for 5g chip

They pour a ridiculous amount of money into R&D for their CPU's only to get blindsided by AMD's new tech, who's stock you may noticed has surged in the last few years. I guess its karma for their anti-consumer, pro-monopoly practices.

I doubt that they would get a partnership with Huawei, remember the whole argument for banning them in the US was the potential for integrating Chinese "spy chips" into their hardware, however insane that may sound.

One manager in his team, of Indian origin, “openly favored the hiring and promotion of only employees from India,
I have been stating precisely this sort of reality about diaspora Indians in UK also and how they behave towards Pakistanis once they establish themselves in sufficient numbers in various organisations in UK. They perceive non-Indians (and particularly Pakistanis) as a threat to their fantasy hegemony and hence take steps to satiate their paranoia.

Pakistanis know what I'm talking about. Indian pdf-ers openly mock my claims on this very site @Joe Shearer and his little cabal of summary dismissers.

Yes Joe, it's probably just me.

Well I work at Amazon and currently 7/8 directors in Canada are Indian but last week they promoted an Iranian guy over me. It's not discrimination its simply who puts in more effort. This Korean guy needs to take his whiney somewhere else. Indians are in every company from top to bottom especially North America. Deal with it.
Horse shtt. It's not merit-based employment. It's the creation of cabals and cartels.

It's just you.

I'm the only guy you know who sitting in India working for a wholly-Indian owned organisation hired a youngster of Pakistani descent to come and work in India. Which he did. Also one guy (there must be a zillion others) who got (indirectly) to handle a bunch of Indians and Pakistanis - the team didn't report to me but to my subordinate, a project manager based on site - in Kuwait.

Admittedly getting that kid in past the Indian bureaucracy was agonising; finally, the head of the Indian group, A. C. Muthiah, had to pull a string or two. He and I lasted the same length of time thereafter; there are masterchief_mirza types in India as well; the word is ubiquitous.

You just don't have a clue.

In general, Indians are one of the most intelligent communities & fairly hard working too.

However, most Indians have no love lost for other Indians. I said in another thread, most Indian Americans are more Americans than Americans themselves.

I have personally seen many American Indians who have issues with "too many Indians" around.

Of course, there is other side to the story also but to generalise that all Indians are biased towards Indians is blatant lie.

And, if one goes purely by "value for money", Indians are the best bet. So, there is no 'bias' there too.
